The vocal set consists of an HT handheld transmitter, an SR diversity receiver, and a D5 dynamic mic element capsule. AKG has aimed all along with the WMS series to thread the needle—to find the perfect compromise between a quality wireless system and simplicity in terms of operation. I presumed that this is what I would find with the new variant. The ultra high frequency system is set up within seconds and is equally suitable on stage as well as in locations where a single- or multi channel solution is needed. The HT handheld transmitter is available with the patented D5 dynamic microphone acoustic. This capsule guarantees maximum rejection against feedback, reduced handling noise and the famous AKG sound.
Both transmitters are shipped with charging contacts that enable the use of rechargeable batteries. Moreover the transmitters offer exceptional eight hours of operation time from a single AA size battery, which dramatically reduces the operating costs in day-to-day use.
The detachable receiver antennas allow the use of professional accessories, such as antenna splitters and remote mounted directional antennas for multi channel systems. The WMS series includes three different bodypack sets. The head-worn set includes the high performance CL condenser microphone. The presenter set includes the professional CL lavalier microphone. The guitar set includes an instrument cable.

The perfect WMS Set for all types of live vocal performance, broadcast and presentation applications. The WMS provides cost-efficient, high-performance solutions for situations where several radio mics will be used simultaneously, including gigs at small clubs, small stages, or regional events. Using several single-channel systems has its limitations and may simply be too much for the available radio band. The other 4 versions carry the same receiver but just vary the transmiter to suit your applications An LCD display indicates all important system data at a glance, including the selected frequency in MHz or as a Preset subchannel, available battery capacity in hours, a warning when battery capacity is low, as well as the current transmission mode.
